It means to be called. Let us turn our Bibles to Isaiah chapter 6, verse 8. The Bible says, “Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.”
Beloved, this is what it means to be called—to be called by God, to be called as a prophet, to be called for divine assignment.

Now, what does it mean to be divinely ordained? It means to be appointed by God. In 1 Samuel chapter 16, verse 13, we see the appointment of David. God Himself spoke to the prophet Samuel and said, In this house, I have appointed someone. Amen.

The Bible says Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed David in the midst of his brethren. But listen carefully—when Samuel poured the oil upon David’s head, that moment did not begin God’s appointment upon his life. Even before Samuel arrived, God had already appointed David.

The oil was not the appointment; the oil was the validation. It was the confirmation of what God had already done in the spiritual realm. That is why David was anointed—because God had already chosen him.

Beloved, God Himself also validated Jesus. In Matthew chapter 3, verse 17, the voice of the Father came from heaven and said, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” And in Acts chapter 10, verse 38, the Bible tells us how God anointed Jesus Christ of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power.

So understand this today: when God calls you, no man can cancel it. When God appoints you, no circumstance can stop it. The anointing is not the beginning—it is the confirmation of God’s divine choice.
